The Cape Cod Chorale is pleased to announce the 2022 recipient of the Barbara Knight Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship is awarded to a high school senior from Cape Cod who is planning to pursue a college academic course toward a career in music.

This year’s recipient is Paige Burkey from Sandwich High School, where she has been a member of the advanced show choir Sandwich Soul, the traditional advanced honors choir Sandwich Singers, as well as Sandwich High School’s Knights Theatre Company. She has had many roles in these groups, recently performing as “Donna”, one of the leads in the musical Mama Mia. She also served as a teacher’s assistant this year for the Sandwich Middle School chorus. Her teachers describe her as a kind, compassionate leader and a fierce academic achiever who is hardworking and dedicated. Paige is planning to attend Berklee College of Music in Boston in the fall. She will double major in vocal performance with a concentration in musical theatre and in music education.
